Broiled Zucchini

Lay 6 - 10 slices of zucchini flat in an oven-safe pan.  Drizzle with olive oil, and sprinkle with black pepper, crushed red pepper, garlic salt, and parmesan cheese.  Broil about 5 minutes until hot.

Frozen Grapes

'Nuff said!  Put a bag of red grapes in your freezer and enjoy on a hot day!

Celery & Cheese

1 wedge of Laughing Cow Lite cheese (try different flavors!) with 2 celery sticks.

Turkey Roll-Ups

1 slice of Boar's Head turkey (stay away from the pre-packaged brands; they contain huge amounts of sodium) paired with 1/2 slice of low-fat lacey swiss (or other lowfat cheese).  Drizzle a small amount of either honey mustard, dijon mustard, low-fat ranch, hummus, or any other condiment inside the rollup! 

Lowfat Cottage Cheese and 1 Container of No Sugar Added Diced Peaches

'nuff said.

Protein Shake

I like Pure Pro vanilla shake (0.5 grams of fat, 2g sugar, lowcal and TONS of protein), and Lean Body for Her, in vanilla ice cream, and strawberry, made with skim milk.  Find at your local health and nutrition store!

Protein Shake Smoothie

I can't belive I just made this for the first time this morning.  This was so delicious, I felt guilty drinking it. 

1 Vanilla Ice Cream Lean Body packet For Her (or half of the regular version)
8 oz skim milk
Handful of ice
1/4 Cup frozen or fresh blueberries
1/4 Cup frozen or fresh strawberries

Mix in a blender and enjoy! 

Apple Snacks

I know this is probably a given, but some of you may forget that an apple a day keeps the doctor away!!  ;)

1 Apple & 1 Wedge of Laughing Cow Lite Cheese
or
1 Apple & 1 Tbsp lite or  low sugar Peanut Butter

PB & Banana Samich

I like to eat this after a morning workout for breakfast, along with an iced coffee (with skim milk and splenda, of course).  High in protein, filling, carbs to get you through your day, and a serving of fruit.

1 Bagel Thins, whole wheat, toasted
2 Tbsp low sugar or low fat peanut butter
1 Banana, sliced vertically
Drizzle of honey

Spread on bagel thin and enjoy as a sandwich!

Nonfat Greek Yogurt, Berries & Granola

Obviously this is everywhere now.  It is a very healthy snack or breakfast.  Delicious, light and refreshing for summertime as well!  I'll just tell you what my favorite brands and combinations are:

Nonfat Plain CHOBANI brand greek yogurt
2 Tbsp chopped strawberries
2 Tbsp raspberries
2 Tbsp blueberries
1/4 Cup BEAR NAKED low sugar, berry granola

Mix all together.  Yum!
